FORMULA After adding the diluent, each ml contains:
Benzathine penicillin G.............................................. 8,000 IU
Procaine penicillin G.............................................. 3,000 IU
Potassium penicillin G.............................................. 1,000 IU
Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate…....................................... 10 mg
Streptomycin sulfate…....................................... 10 mg
Diluent q.s....................................................................... 1 ml
Sterile diluent. Each ml contains: Sodic dipyrone...................................................................... 5 mg Guaiacol glyceryl ether...................................................................... 1.5 mg
Vehicle q.s...................................................................... 1 ml
PRESENTATION 10, 20, 50 and 100 ml flasks.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE Intramuscular administration.
In ostrich chicks 1 day to 90 days old, it must be applied subcutaneously.
DOSAGE
Birds less than 3 weeks old: 0.1 to 0.25 ml.
Birds 3 to 6 weeks old: 0.50 ml.
Adult birds: 1 ml
Ducks, turkeys, geese (according to the weight): 1.5 to 3 ml.
Ostrich chicks 1 day to 10 days old: 0.25 ml, applied subcutaneously.
Ostrich chicks 11 days to 90 days old: 0.50 ml to 1 ml, applied subcutaneously.
Ostrich chicks 3 1/2 to 6 months old: f2 to 7 ml, applied intramuscularly in the breast.
In all cases, every 24 hours during 4 days.
SPECIES: Birds, fighting birds and ostriches.
PROPERTIES
• AVIPEN is an antibiotic made especially for birds. Its combination presents synergism (a combination of two or more drugs whose effects complement each other, empowering the therapeutic function). It is widely proven that the action of penicillins and dihydrostreptomycin is increased.
• AVIPEN contains dipyrone, a medicine destined to combat fever and pain (antipyretic and analgesic).
• Guaiacol glyceryl ether is used to produce expectorant effect, as well as cardiac and respiratory stimulus.
• AVIPEN is prescribed for the treatment of catarrh (coryza), respiratory complications caused by diseases such as infectious laryngotracheitis and Newcastle disease, as well as chronic respiratory disease.
WARNINGS
Do not use this product 30 days before the slaughter of animals intended for human consumption.
